So, looking back at what I've blogged: here are articles describing the development progress in NetMash:
- found four BLE USB dongles that work
- worked out how to broadcast URLs
- got a Raspberry Pi to broadcast a URL, logged in the NetMash app
- showed the 3D objects at those URLs in NetMash
- changed the colour of an LED through mark-space modulation
- set that colour from the 3D object in NetMash
- discovered the host IP using a nested loop
- constructed real URLs to broadcast from NetMash Pi servers
- discovered a possible solution to the Nexus BT/Wifi conflict
- showed three URLs in the app
- placed them dynamically in a 3D place
- found out how to read BLE adverts from Linux
- added a menu item to scan around, with jumping between place and object
I also wrote some more philosophical and background articles on the Object Network for AR and the IoT:
- explained what I was trying to achieve: an AR view of an IoT
- wrote my Manifesto for the IoT
- showed some simple Cyrus code for the IoT
- explained how Cyrus makes discovery easy
- gave my list of interesting technology trends
- described the unique linked-up nature of the Object Net
- compared the CoAP and FOREST approaches
- had a look at alternative approaches to the Object Net
- described how the IoT should be open and local
- compared the usual event-action rules with the Object Net rules
- discussed why AR and the IoT are such a match
- had a go at yet another Monad explanation to compare with Cyrus
- described how people are first class in the Object Net
- gave some scenarios for linked Things from your house to the city and beyond
- introduced the Functional Observer model that is the foundation of the Object Net
And I showed off some hardware:
- my Raspberry Pi Christmas present
- some cheap remote-controlled kit to hack
In the next 30 days .. well, you'll just have to stay tuned!
